FINAL FANTASY XV Will Not Be At E3 2015

Game Director Hajime Tabata dropped bombshell after bombshell during today’s Active Time Report Page 6.0. Adding to the blow that Stella will no longer be in the game, Tabata also confirmed that FINAL FANTASY XV will have absolutely no presence at E3. Nope, not even a trailer as he’d previously hoped. Tabata’s reasoning was fairly sound, the trailer was simply planned to be some older footage spliced together, but the idea was rejected.

Tabata apologised for lying for fans, and hopes everyone will be looking forward to full promotion for the game, which will be starting at Gamescom 2015. Gamescom is Europe’s biggest video games event, taking place in Cologne, Germany from August 5th-9th. The next Active Time Report will be broadcast live from the show floor.

As a sort of peace offering, Tabata did show off a piece of concept art to tide fans over, showing a young Noctis and the King Regis.
