During the latest Active Time Report, Game Director Hajime Tabata revealed that FINAL FANTASY XV will only be present at E3 2015 in a limited capacity. The recently released demo, FINAL FANTASY XV: Episode Duscae, took up a considerable amount of time and resources to produce. Tabata considers the demo to be a major milestone for the team, intended to be a “prologue” of sorts to a bigger reveal later this year.
Unfortunately, Tabata feels that his team cannot sufficiently prepare for a big reveal in time for this year’s E3 in June. The marketing department are currently considering a big reveal and media event at Gamescom in August, with smaller, continued, reveals to follow at PAX and the Tokyo Game Show. As such, promotion for the full version of FINAL FANTASY XV will officially commence at Gamescom.
SQUARE ENIX are also currently finalising the feedback received from the Episode Duscae survey. Tabata hopes to hold an Active Time Report in late May/early June to dig into the findings of the survey, shortly ahead of the release of the 2.0 patch for the Episode Duscae demo.
