Following up on the sell-out FINAL SYMPHONY tour and album, SQUARE ENIX, Nobuo Uematsu, Merregnon Studios and the London Symphony Orchestra (LSO) are reuniting for a one-night only event in London. Aptly named, FINAL SYMPHONY II.
FINAL SYMPHONY II marks the third time that the LSO have performed FINAL FANTASY music. The original FINAL SYMPHONY tour, back in 2013, was a sell-out and the recently released album, recorded at the famous Abbey Road Studios, went straight to the top of the iTunes Classical chart in more than 10 countries! The album also ranked in the top 5 Classical Albums in both the Billboard and Official UK Charts.
The concert will be held on September 12th, 2015 at the London Barbican. A wide variety of tracks from FINAL FANTASY V, VIII and IX will be performed alongside a new suite of music from FINAL FANTASY XIII, arranged by original composer Masashi Hamauzu himself. Uematsu will also be giving a special pre-concert talk to interested fans, discussing his musical career and influences, as well as answering questions from the audience.
Tickets will be available from tomorrow (March 20th, 2015) and run from £30 to £65 each. Tickets from the pre-concert talk by Nobuo Uematsu will also go on sale at the same time for £10 each. See the official site for more details.
