SQUARE ENIX and mobile games company DeNA have just announced that FINAL FANTASY: Record Keeper will be seeing a release in Western markets. The title has been incredibly well received, with over 5 million downloads to date.

Playing as Deci, the prized apprentice of Dr. Mog, players will act as historians working for the Ministries of History who have preserved moments in time within paintings. With the help of Dr. Mog’s magic, Deci can jump into these paintings to relive the iconic moments they represent. Throughout the game players will relive major moments from the franchise history, it’s pretty much a FINAL FANTASY “Greatest Hits” Collection. Players will subsequently be able to recruit and customise from a massive roster of memorable characters that span the entire franchise, including favourites like; Tidus, Cloud, Squall, Yuna and Lightning, to build their own dream team.

FINAL FANTASY: Record Keeper will be available as free download for iOS and Android platforms from Spring 2015. A pre-release rewards program is currently open on the Official Site, if fans amass enough points before release date they will be given early access to characters that normally wouldn’t be available until later in the game.
