Following the successful Final Symphony tour, legendary FINAL FANTASY composer Nobuo Uematsu sat down at the equally legendary Abbey Road Studios in London. It was there, in partnership with Merregnon Studios, that Uematsu has created an album that revisits some of his most compelling work from the past 20 years.
The album will be available from February 23rd, 2015.
“It is always an honor to hear my work being performed live on stage, but in bringing Final Symphony to Abbey Road Studios I hope that many more people will now be able to enjoy the outstanding arrangements that Merregnon Studios has become famous for. […]To work with the London Symphony Orchestra in a studio that has played host to many of my own personal, musical heroes will be a very special experience.”
The Final Symphony album clocks in at just over 94 minutes and brings together work from FINAL FANTASY VI, FINAL FANTASY VII and FINAL FANTASY X in new arrangements. IGN recently took a look behind the scenes of the recording of the album, which you can watch below.
